I got the boat into the shop early as planned Tuesday and decided to hit up NPH once again. Arrived the harbor a little after 3. Worked on foot again from the Bay Island foot bridge down to the ferry and back up. I was fishing the incoming middle high tide so I though it would be a little bette than it was. I ended up with two spotties and a short short hali, all fish came at sunset or after. I was using the Berkley Gulp Bait Fish on a darter head.

First Spottie, a very lil guy.

Same fish, not much bigger than my reel.

Next one, a little bigger.

Again same fish.

Then came this little flattie from the Fernando St. Public dock.

After releasing the little Hali I hooked up on something bigger, but it came unbuttoned.

Still better than working!

We used to "dock hop" all the private docks from Bay Isle to the Pavillion. We knew they were private and we were tresspassing, but we just opened the gates and walked out there and fished our lures like we were boat owners. Man we got some big bass in the docks! We did get told to leave once or twice. We would sometimes ask permission if we saw someone there before we fished and once we told them we were not using bait, they would let us fish as long as we stayed off the boats. I'm not telling you to try this by the way...

From the recent spate of reports coming out of NPH it appears to have slowed down a bit.

Congrats on your catches and thanks for the post.
