Surf fishing for halis

Hey Folks,

I'm planning to try for some halibut in the surf this weekend. I was considering going to possibly Dockwiler or maybe down towards Redondo beach. Has anyone had any luck fishing these areas in the past? This is my first time so I figured I'd try someplace close to home. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I fished Dockweiler last sat and got a 19" hali. My report is up on the Saltwater section.
