Was going to be in the neighborhood so I thought I would take advantage of some of the snow while it is still here. Brought the 3wt with me just in case.
Didn't have the new adventure pass so had to buy a day pass for parking.
The first spot took me a little while longer than usual. I'm still not 100% and it was tough navigating. Stuck it out as long as I could and finally managed a fish on the surface. Hit it pretty good, bent the rod hard and gave me a rush of a battle. Little fatter belly than normal for this area. Wish the pic would have shown it.

Took a break to rest and play in the snow near the water for a few..

Then back to the fish! Wanted to land a above tiny rainbow. First few were pretty small. My license was attached to my camera strap.

I guarantee those fish can't see this brown line. I can't even see it myself  Talk about hard to work with.. but very stealthy!

Here was the bigger rainbow I landed just before leaving. He was a bit stubborn but I kept working his hole and coaxed him out. I tell you these lil boogers fight great for their size! The pictures do this fish no justice either. It had some awesome colors and spots.

Same fish, different pic

Didn't want to go all out and push myself just yet so called it after those couple of fish. Spent a total of 2 hours MAXIMUM fishing. Had a good time in the mountains again like always. The snow seems to add some fun to it for me.
Enjoy the pics! All fish bit on the surface on a home tied Stimulator fly, and all were released.
