Senor Rambone

Decided to hit up prado this morning, we got there around 9:45am. Beautiful socal morning 48deg. with bluebird skys. It was the Grouch and Senor Rambones first slay for 09'. As soon as we got there we headed to the back by the aerators. As I miss my first couple bites the Grouch says "fish on " and it was on. Right away this thing was peeling drag and his pole was being put to the test. After a good 5 min battle Grouch landed a monster 8.12lb bow, signs of a good day ahead, and we weren't dissappointed.

Next we headed to our spot were the action was pretty much wide open for the next couple of hours. Once again the Grouch was on right away with another fattie at a solid 3lbs. Very next cast zzzzzzzzzzz again Grouch. He was on fire :Guns: and I was still trying to get on the board. No worries shortly enough I get slammed by a nice fatty that took off 2' into the air when I hooked it. I fought it for a good 3 to four minutes to have my hook spit right at my face about 2' from shore.
Next was Grouch with another monster it seemed but to our surprise it was MAD HOOKJAW BROWN 2.5 lbs but fought harder than the 8lber. I don't know what kind of trout this is but it was a golden brown compared to the other silver colored rainbows. Has a nice big jaw. I ended up with two more fatty bows to kill the 09' skunk. Final count Grouch 7 Rambone 2 . Nevertheless it was a great day!
