Hit up LNL with a couple buddies

buddies did well with powerbait. They all got a few.

I fished the jigs today and slayed them.
All fish ranged from 1 lb- 4.25lbs


by the way, found out that these fish were Mt. Lassen trout. They look so much better than the Mt. Lassen ones that SARL gets, the worker dude was telling me that its because they have different grades of trout and LNL buys the better grade. never knew that

Done and off the lake by 11AM to beat the traffic home






Best baits: powerbait in garlic and rainbow worked well. Nightcrawlers also worked well blown up. All baits fished carolina rig with short leader about 12 inches.

Best lures: didnt throw any hardware out. Jigs were hitting good and hard. Lip ripperz in yellow was the hot ticket for me

Damn nice work out there. I knew I went on the wrong day!!! How good was it today on Jan1st? I knew it had to be better than Wed because of all the fish left.

yea, heard it slowed down a bit the next day. tuesday seemed to be on fire for just about everybody

We were there on Near Years Eve and people were saying, "you shoulda been here yesterday"


I guess they were rightl. I only managed 2 in the last 40 minutes, but I was fishing in a tough spot.


Great going and those fish do look real nice right when they come out of the water.
