Met up with Seng90806 yesterday for a hali plucking session only to catch a couple of hali tot's:mad:.It was nice meeting you Seng, we need to do another session someday soon. We chatted for a bit after and I said I need to redeem myself from this day, tomorrow......i'll be bach:Cool::LOL:. So today I hit the surf at the first spot alittle after 7 and fished that area for a good hour for nothing. Conditions were foggy with a high tide and no rough surf. Ever since yesterday I had a good feeling about spot #2 and I could feel it in my bones as I made my way there. Worked the shore for about a block throwing the Lc@12lb test, kroc@6lb test, and my favorite weapon..the d/s@4lb test. Time was running out and I started to think of getting skuned on new years eve. After switching the color on the d/s and casting it out I could feel tension on line line as I worked it back in...then WHAMMY!!.....set the hook and off she went...line peeling, drag screaming, heart pumping action....I love it! The battle went back and forth up and down the beach for about 10minutes, I would get the fish so close to shore then it would take a look at the situation and jet back out fighting for freedom:Evil:not today I said:Wink:. Finally got it to shore and measured it...26" and a great fight on 4lb. There was a guy that was walking the beach just as I hooked up, after he watched the show I asked him if he could take a couple of pix of the cast:Big Grin: which he did... said nice fish, asked what I was using and was on his way.
