The last time I was there was in 2005 when the water was spilling over..if I remember right there was very limited access to the inlet from shore..

Just remember
If you get caught up by the inlet passed the "NO TRESPASSING" signs,
It's a hefty fine and the wardens/rangers have the option to confiscate equipment and impound vehicles. It really sucks.

Just so happens i have to take the boat on the water to check some work i did on it and that's the closest lake to me. Guess i will give it a try tomorrow around noon. Gonna drink some beer tonight so i can't get up early. Will be using artificials only, so i dont kill any.
I would be nice if we release all the trout in that lake now that they can't stock it anymore.

Oh yea...happy new year

You dont have to go up past the toad fence, and its more timing and luck there because they wont stay in the lake for too long before they head back up the creek into the toad safety zone where no body gets to fish, you other gys need to quit hating cause i gave a little tip, whenis the last time you fished there all day, i used to alot till hooked on some other places,,,

The Browns actually might hang around in the lake longer if there aren't any rainbows being put in there anymore. I was scouting around up there yesterday and without trout plants, that lake is one lonely place! No one was fishing from shore and there was one boat on the lake fishing against the dam.

thanks for the tips Bob...
went there today for 1.5 hours, and graphed some fish. lots down by the dam, but looked like they might have been carp. large schools.
will post report and pics tonight. good place to spend a half day for us locals.

if you went today you would have been very cold out there, but if you did let us know how you did.

i noticed when i was out there, there was a sign that said you couldn't go back where the stream comes in. any-one know if boats or float tubes are alowed up there?
