got late 1:30pm see if anybody catch some trout, some of them catch at least one or two at most so i check it out see if any trout at the lake front side saw maybe dozen or less swim by there cruising left and right, so i said forget go to the back side, check its out found out there about 30 trouts or so. i using newest phenix elixis trout rod 8' 2lb-8lb
w/shimano symetre 500 w/ 2lb izorline xxx cast it out w/ 1/64 yellow/white minijig about 15yds out there, see school passing by, so i retrieve slowly as possible and saw my minijig being chase then one of trout took and make run fought less than 2min. weight about 1.5lb then change color to pearl the cast it out same distance and then bang on the 8yrd line reeling 2min small one about 1lb, then later at end of the day, total 4 lost 1 of them 5lb, then other 3lb. great out there

Was there Wed for a couple of hours. First time fishing the lake in maybe 15 years. The stocking on Tuesday did not happen so it's supposed to come in on Friday. They said they would allow fishing that day.

i was probably there the same day you were, and caught about 4 total trouts, all on salmon eggs!

That's pretty good catch! I only saw a few trout and the only ones hooked up I saw in the morning were snagged.
