New Del Mar 12/26/08

So the plan was to go out of Redondo Landing and hop on the Spittfire. Get to the landing and they're closed :EyePop: Its a good thing Jackpot Jimmy backed out, poor Jackpot Dad would have had a fit :Confused:

So we're in Cappo's truck tryin to decide where to go and decide to head on to our house with Ositto and hang out for an hour. Around 6:45am we head on out to Marina Del Rey to hop on the New Del Mar 1/2 day boat.

Ok... I'm gonna try to make this thread short and sweet, considering we didnt have time to take pictures on a gosh darned half day boat.

Lets see... :Secret: about 5 people chucked over board because of the 6-10 feet swells. I think Ositto chucked it a little, cause he came back sweating one time.

Hit a few spots where the fishies were little. They were so little that I actually sat on 2 starry fishies, had no idea they were there, for about 5 minutes. Only reason I finally figured out anything, brought my line up to check my bait and found two little ones on both my hooks.

We finally hit a really nice spot. Wide open with big hunks of SCULPINS. The minute we dropped down, bammmmmm :Shocked: we get hit. So between the three of us (Cappo, Ositto, and ~larissa), we got limits and then some :Envious:

Im kinda glad we didnt do a 3/4 day trip in that weather. It would of been brutal all day. We had a great time pickin away at fat sculpins, I prob got around 10+. HAHA it was funny to see you waiting and waiting for a fish to bite, when they were already on your line.
