Long story/day short..

Hit Newport Harbor with Cowpaddy Friday….

Got a late start…after high tide..

Slooowwwww

WINDY !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cold !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Worked all day ..

I ran Gulp alive and landed 2 SBB and lost 3 other hookups
Tony landed 1 Sandbass on the gulp but ran other plastics for the better part of the day to mix it up….but still Slowwwww !

REAL tough !!!

Couldnt really fish the best spot cause of the wind...

I even tried a little squid and got 2 short bites but abondoned that quickly ended up using only 1/2 of 1 squid...

I know if they are gonna bite the gulp will do da trick !

That place in the first pic doesn't have many large fish but they are back there.

Conditions all last week were at their worst in the harbor.

I tried to get out there last monday in hopes that the rain would hold off for the am but we got both rain and wind that makes your conditions look like glass. Great attempt though and at least you got a few.

We were out in LB Hooping that night in those frigid conditions.
