Hello Everyone!!

I decided to hit the surf today after about a week of crappy conditions to see if i couldnt get some holiday halibut to bite. Unfortunately, when i walked down to the beach the tide was reaalllly low. I still managed to find some deeper trenches and holes. I was fishing mostly c-rigged perch crack, which got me a couple average sized perch and a micro croaker. Then i tried for halibut with d/s gulp 3" minnows that i found in my bass box. I didnt get a single hit on that so i switched to some Wal-Mart brand poser LC. (Hopefully santa will bring me some real ones:Envious:) It took me ten minutes of adjusting for the darn thing to even wobble and vibrate and another five to get it to run straight. Somehow i did manage to catch a couple of perch and a pretty big croaker. Overall i had about 5 BSP, 2 croaker, and a tiny walleye perch.

Merry day before christmas and happy 4th day of hannukah to all!

Ahhh, El Porto and Dockweiler, my old surf fishing stomping grounds.
Many nice Butts have been pulled out and put back into the surf there.
You're right, better to fish that area during a high tide. But you didn't do too bad... an "A" for effort. Thanks for the report.

I hope Santa filled your stocking with a bunch of LC's. :Envious:
