WTF! Surf perch feast with jerkits

I got up early today and decided to give Ventura beach a try, water tempeture very cold,l weather great, couldn’t find any mussels nor sand bugs so I pull couple of green jerkits out of my tackle box and put them on a Carolina rig 3/4 oz 18'' leader on a 10 lbs test from wall mart.
C&R lots kept 5 good size perch, sorry no pics. Will be there tomorrow again with camera this time (sorry about grammar, English is not my main language
