I hear they have some at Mugu and down near San Onofre. Anyone know of a place you can dig for them south of San Fran but a place that isn't polluted? I am thinking maybe Vandenberg AFB or around Jalama may have some but not sure. How about Morro Bay?
Used to dig the hell out of these things up in Sequim, WA and come home with buckets full. You could dig them easy with just your bare hands at low tide. We called them steamer clams up there. They taste so good when steamed and dipped in garlic butter sauce.
