Um from the Jettes, or maybe a boat when i get it back from Service... Any particular spots to try?
A friend and I caught a few in Newport and we C&R'd them to grow bigger, althought they were much bigger then 12 inches, maybe along 14-19 inches...4 of them. Got curious as to try, thanks for your input in advance!

Very Good Eats!!!!!!!! Had half a slab last night. I just put a little seasoning salt a little pepper and a sprinkle of lime and a few lime wedges. Wrapped it in tin foil and baked it for 20 mins or so @ 450 degrees. Did it Mexican style and wrapped the sucker in corn tortillas and some green salsa my wife made .... Damn I'm hungry again !!!!

Used to make cerviche with Abalone, Scallops, Sheepshead, Kelp Bass, various Rockfish.
Very good eating if you can't get a Ling or Vermillion Rockfish.
