Hey JapanRon,

Looks like you had a good time despite the incoming rain. Hey- how long does it take you to produce a quality report like you do weekly? Secondly- I noticed you got your same spot on the rail as you did last week. What time do you get to the landing?

Thanks again for the report

Hi deanhall32,

Thanks. Most asides get written ahead of time and I'm organized for ease of layout so we're talking a matter of hours ... not days to get it out !! :) Spend lots of time on the pics but the report wouldn't be the same without them.

The time I get to the landing varies with the day, season, and bite going on during the year. If I told you when I get to the landing to get MY SPOT (how un-democratic huh !!) (of which I always fish), some smarts-bozo would come along and make a concerted effort to get there first to deprive me of the spot that day !! (that's what I like about Pierpoint ... it's first-come-first-serve .. in line .... NO .... not supposedly waiting in the parking lot (when there were NO occupied cars in the lot when I arrived) and hitting the office door 5 minutes before they open !!) I am not politically correct and you can guess what answer I gave them when they thought I'd move out of the first spot at the door for them !! Morons !! ha ha ha

Had a number of contenders over the years ...... who finally gave up !! That's not a challenge ... by the way !! :)

Hope you and family had a good Turkeyday !!

Hey Ron, nice report! Some nice quality fish for sure.

I haven't gone on one of the Dana Wharf Halibut Derby Trips, but I think they target halibut all day, but of course, they probably come across stones with sandies and sculpin on them while drifting, as there is a pretty large area of halibut grounds.

Hi JackpotJimmy,

Thanks dude. I don't even get in JPs (they're all yours my friend) so I've little interest in the derbys but I imagine they are fun. I believe that $5 of the fare goes in the pot for the final fish-off. You fish down that way often so .... I'd give it a try if I were you !! Then give us a great report !!

Geez ..... one detail I forgot to mention was that .... even with the great fishing ..... Victory's owner/operator George decided to give us FULL FARE rainchecks !! I think of it as a loyalty reward !! Caught all those fish and fished till past 3pm and back at the dock at 4:30pm. That guy is fun to share a rail with too !! Everybody was fishing and catching !!

Hi supasportkid,

Thanks. Not at all !! You make a good effort in your reports and I appreciate every report with it's good solid info on the fish and conditions !!

Pics would be great but ......... details ... written clearly and intertainingly are really the meat of any report !!
