Butch Sanders was hoop netting off Dana Point Thursday night and wondered why his net was so heavy.
When pulled in the net he discovered he had caught a huge 15-pound lobster.
Sanders named the lobster "George."
"George" is now on display at Jon's Fish Market, 34665 Golden Lantern, in Dana Point Harbor.
"We're going to keep him on display for all to see," said Megan Fitzgerald, general manager of Jon's Fish Market. "Kids love it."
Fitzgerald said the lobster was probably between 50 - 60 years old.
"It takes them several years just to get to the legal size to be caught," said Fitzgerald.
The restaurant and market has "George" in his own compartment in the aquarium there. Fitzgerald said they don't plan to sell him any time soon.
"He's set for a while," Fitzgerald said.
