This year I have really noticed Lake Mathews losing a lot of water. Usually it would go down and then back up again. But not this year.
This is a water supply lake in Corona, for those of you unfamiliar with it. It is not open to the public.
And in some pics there are some workers clearing brush. Because of fire season.

While I was snapping off some pics an older guy in a SUV pulled up and was watching me, he seemed to be some kind of ranger or something. He said he has never seen it this low either, and he thought it was only about 50 ft deep at the deepest part...
