Where do ghosts go surf fishing? Mali-BOOO! (Joke son shared with me)
No ghosts to be found by myself, or my kids. However, we did find lots of fish and hotties!
Being that I went to bed at 1:00 am last night, I was too pooped & hung over to wake up early and go surf fishing as I usually do. And since the wife's back in the work industry and she worked today I had the kids all to myself. What to do?
We arrived at Mali-Booo (my kid shared the joke with me) at around 12:30 pm and stuck it out till about 3:30 pm. Tide was high when we arrived and receded nicely without taking the fish with it. Weather was nice and fish were plentiful.
Fourth cast on the Kastmaster and out comes a pancake.

Kept working the Kastmaster but nothing gave. I switched to the drop shot and still no takers. My kids were getting antsy and BOO-ing me as they built sand castles, so I thought I'd show them a lesson.

I brought out the giant mussels we picked up last week at Point Dume. They worked great -Perch galore! Not too far, but not too close. Nothing to brag about but they kept us busy. The kids got to reel in a few and obviously wanted pics to be taken so they were. Lots more fish were caught but not all pictured. I was waiting for a pic-worthy one for myself but unfortunately it never showed up. :(
