1st time launch out of claremont.
Started out @ 730.
Grey skies, no wind, water like glass, Rusty Red Glass
Noticed that a pod of 6 dolphins, a flock of birds, and 1 or 2 sea lions were hitting up a bait ball with-in a stone throw of the beach. Figured tide was coming in with some fresh blue green water and said what the heck.

Peddled out to Island Chaffee and some blue water. Had a couple of hookups that got sheered of on the rocks. Tried for some butts close to shore @ noon when the wind and waves picked up.

2 hours later waves are getting worse, lots of white water and sand being kicked up. Who would have thought that a southern facing beach behind a breakwall with no storms would look like a flushing of a toilet bowl. Was seriously contemplating pu$$ying out and taking the Los Al Bay back in. Since this would be my second ocean beach landing I was concerned. I guess patience is a virtue, waited for about 20 minutes and sprinted in to a totally uneventful landing.

Got skunk'd for the day but had fun with the dolphins.
