I made a few rod holders for my tube, but the problem I am having is that when I get them strapped in and put my rod in, they fall down. I need suggestions on how to strap them down better. Here is a pix of my tube with the rod holder on it for a good visual along with the bungee cord that I am trying out.

I was thinking of zip ties while at work today and was going to get some from my Bro when I got home, but he was already in bed when I got home.

Try a couple of self tapping wood screws. That should do the trick.

Thanks for making me go to Google to figure out what self tapping wood screws are. I am trying to avoid making holes it it cos I dont want the darn thing filling up with water.

I always worry about bungee cords coming loose and snapping me in the eyes or worse.

Put a "T" on the end with some 90 deg fitting on each end. The 90 deg fittings will be angled in towards the tube and not like the pic. This way the ends of the T will have contact with the round tube.

See that center "D" ring right at the upright PVC tube???

Tie (velcro strap) it to "D" ring and it should not spin....

Your welcome.......

Well, the zip ties were a no go, so I am going to try the T bar idea. At times like this, I wish Home Depot was open 24 hrs

You can buy Velcro in a box, almost any width at Wally World, in the sewing/crafts dept ??
It comes in strips like tape. One side in each box.
I pull out what I need, then do the same with other side and glue them together back to back (tons of glues in same area of stores).
I then have a strip of velcro any length/width I need...
I use it for carrying rods (rod wraps) attaching things to Tube and a zillion other things in Veh & around the house etc....

Velcro ROCKS !!!!!

Not much of a construction person myself but these are great!

Got two myself and they never flipped, rolled, rods never flew out and taking them off was easy too with the buckle.

Hope it helped your situation
