hello all, im getting ready to move to lake tahoe area around stagecoach, and im wondering if there are large mouth in any of the lakes around there. I only hear of trout. im happy to catch them also but nothing is like lmb. thanks for the help all

If I remember right there now lmb and gills in the lake around the southern marinas. I know for a fact Stampede and Boca Reservoirs have smallmouth in them. There are plenty of small lakes in Cali and Nevada region there
Im sure there are more bass waters in the area

I doubt it.. .only western sierra down lower and further east into nevada desert maybe.

Eastern sierra- Buckley ponds in Bishop

I've personally fished there and have caught largemouth and saw a couple 4+ lbrs
they also have cats and gils

I caught a 7lb LMB out of the Owens near Bishop about 2-3 years ago. They are up there.....Buckley ponds like the previous poster mentioned is full of em.

Guys he was talking about near tahoe.. not bishop (300 miles away)

yea thanks though. who knows ill drive to catch the big mouths. i am gonna twist some of the locals ears and take my time, learn to fly fish and get to know some nature.oh and its a class 3 state for all of you gun lovers:Twisted:
