Went on the Spitfire out of Redondo yesterday with hopes of heading for Catalina...but we got a call that the snakes were right off PV. Only had 12 people on board .Came up on what must have been the entire So. California fleet, and got in on the action. They were hitting anything that moved, and those with Iron were getting one log per cast.(one guy got some on a AC trout plug :? ) Needless to say, we limited out in about 2 hours.(120 'cuda  ) Then we fished the kelp along PV for a few Calico's and some short WSB's. Since we were so close to dock, we drifted Torrance beach for hali's while cleaning all those snakes. Had a few hook ups, even a big thresher on a spinning reel  , but nothing got landed. All in all, one of the best fishin' days I've had this season  Capt. Craig and the crew were excellent, and the Spitfire is my personal fav. boat in the S. Bay. :thumb:

P.S. Anyone know how to clean up the skull/teeth to display?

Might try this guy if you're serious...don't know if they've ever done a fish but maybe they'd try it...

Find yourself an ant hill and leave it there. It will be a skull in a few hours.

Nice report BTW.

I think you mistook the City of Redondo for the Spitfire. I've been on the City of Redondo and she has great crew, friendly regulars, and great chef.

Good report.
I'll make a different guess though,
the last pic is from the City of Redondo
not the Redondo Special. The Special
has square bait tanks. Ok now what
do I win?
Who cares what boat it is, thanks for
the pics, maybe I'll see out there
soon. I've only been out once since
the last time I fished the Spitfire
with you, but I've got the Phantom
charterd for an overnight trip in
two weeks!
