Decent storm blowing through the sierra right now supposed to dump some good amounts of snow above 9000ft and rain down below. Good start to the season. More snow around the 10th of Nov expected ,..right in time for one of my last of 2 trips

Windy with rain and snow in the morning...then rain and snow likely in the afternoon. Snow accumulation up to 5 inches above 9000 feet. Highs 53 to 63. South winds 15 to 20 mph increasing to 20 to 30 mph in the afternoon. Gusts up to 50 mph. Ridge gusts up to 85 mph.

Would have been nice if the snow would have waited another day or two instead of chasing me down the mountain :Razz:

I'll get some pics of yesterday's small blizzard up a bit later.

I did notice that the lower O wild section was much tougher to fish with such low waters though :mad:
(I guess that means I'm hoping for more snow up there too!)

I was just reading that some spots up there are record levels low because LADWP is taking water to fill up lakes in socal. I'll be up there next weekend, probably waist deep in snow. Hopefully not though.

i dout youll be waist deep....but when we left thursday i heard 5" fell in some spots...

Nothing on the agenda for November5th- 9th?? We are staying in some condo in Mammoth and were hoping to get a little snow shower or two. Or just get snowed in so I can stay up there!!!

just looked at rock creek lake area weather snow level is at 7500-8000ft with ridge wind gusts up to 100mph! damn we would of been blown off the mountain if we didnt leave when we did!

Snow is definitely dumping right now.. this is sooooo good for the sierra and everywhere else.

I gots to drive through there Bport, June, Crowley to Bishop and to game in LA. Should be pretty. With AWD, I'm guessing I'll be just fine with roads ... and can always follow the plow.
