I took my buddy Shant out for some bass/lobster the other night. We got out there at about 9ish and moved towards the break wall. My goal was to catch a bunch of Mack's but by the end of our night we only managed to land 1, not enough to feed the bugs. No had no love on the plastics but the frozen squid was a different story.

Shant caught:
1 sand shark
1 bat ray
2 calico's
1 mysterious monster which he battled for 10 mins before loosing it
I think it was a heavy ray

I got:
5 cali's
1 rockfish
1 croaker _which I cant identify_
1 baby Cuda on the Flash minnow 110 metalic-sardine

It was great! does anyone know what kind of croaker that was?

Thanks for the pics and report i would have used the batray and the other fish you guys kept for lobster bait its not as good as mack and bonita but its something.

I used to use Squid in my hoop nets for plenty of crabs when I first ventured into hooping.

Any thing is better than a bait less dry net. You might be surprised!!!!!!

You can also buy macs cheap compared to the price of Bugs pound for pound!

It looked the same when I caught it! It didn't really change.
