1991 Key West 17’ with a 1997 70HP Johnson 2 stroke motor.
This boat is ideal for fishing the break wall, inshore saltwater and local lakes. It seats up to 4 people but is perfect for fishing with 2 or 3 people. The boat cruises at over 30 MPH with 3 people on it and is a comfortable platform to fish from. The boat has a digital saltwater trolling motor that has a wireless control that can be used from anywhere on the boat. We bought this boat with the intention of fishing saltwater bass tournaments, so we spared no expense in getting everything perfectly dialed in. We used top quality components and wiring, so the boat is turn key and reliable. We had the motor serviced regularly at John’s Custom Marine in Stanton and it had a good compression check when we had it serviced in September.
Here is a list of some of the features on the boat:
22 gallon aluminum fuel tank (in excellent condition).
18 gallon (3/4 scoop) bait tank.
3 new West Marine batteries (still under warranty) 1- cranking / 1- house / 1- trolling motor (batteries installed in April).
New on board Pro-Sport 3 bank charger (plugs into extension cord and charges and maintains all batteries) installed in May
New Motor Guide SW55 saltwater digital trolling motor with 55 lbs thrust (motor was installed in April).
Trolling motor is removable and has locking plug.
New Garmin 300C fish finder (installed in April).
New Evinrude propeller (installed in August).
New hydrofoil installed on motor in September (greatly improves performance).
The boat has 6 rod holders inside boat and 4 rail mounted rod holders.
Entire boat has been rewired using heavy duty marine grade wire.
Dash has been upgraded with Paneltronics waterproof switch panel.
Trolling motor battery is mounted under passenger side console.
Tons of storage space for a boat this size.
The boat sits on an aluminum trailer that is in good condition.
New tires and spare on trailer (replaced in October).
Completely rewired the trailer in September.
New carpet on trailer bunks .
