trout masterson

Recently went to the Yucatan Peninsula to chase baby Tarpon, Bones, Permit, and Jacks on the fly. This particular morning was considerably windy, so we were limited to certain areas within the mangroves. We managed to only boat one tarpon. The day before, I ran into a school of big jacks, boated three alongside two bonefish. Sorry no pics. Rod: Scott X2S 8 weight. Flys: Sea Deucer, Tarpon Toads, Clousers, and Merkin's Crab.

Casting to a rolling tarpon. If you look close, you can see the splash of water.

I love the smell of poon in the AM.
