I may be heading to the Bishop area the first week of November, what is the fishing like at that time of year, and what are the conditions? How about up at Crowley and Mammoth, is it usually snow packed by then?

Thanks for the replies.

Not too much snow just yet in the sierra by nov15th closure of the fishing season. You have nothing to worry about, now... about that cold. It's going to be VERY COLD at night, Daytime temps vary though..hit and miss. Could be 70 degrees in November but night time temps will always drop into low 30s to mid teens. Don't hike off somewhere far and not bring a sweater or jacket. Trust me, you'l get caught up and freeze. Remember, the higher up you go.. the colder it will be. Crowley is in a high valley, sittin' at around 7000FT and mammoth is in the mid 8000ft level. Anything above 6500 will be below freezing every night

Fishing is unstopable that time of year and crowds are almost non-existant,.,
