Not sure what to call this area, I just fish off the rocks, is this the "jetty"? Well the bite was insane, although I only landed 2 sandbass, I got bites all night on sardines.

My first time fishing with frozen sardines , but they were kind of thawed so it made it easy for the fish to steal them. All in all a good night, 2 bass, 2 hours, I can live with that for sure!!!

Any tips on how to hook these baits so they stay on longer?

Tie two hooks on the same line. Space them out a few inches or so, just enough so one hook can go through the head and the other hook can go through the tail end. I did that fishing for leopard sharks and didn't have any problem with the bait flying off.
