unfortunelty i have yet to catch one so i wanna get pumped for the upcoming opener for corona lake.

ive caughten a several large trout but they arent the oversized, ugly messed up looking fish from corona or sarl. hopefully ill get one this year.

No No No, that lil' one is a Nebraska Silver Bellied Whistler Trout.
Pretty rare to see them survive long down here due to the high temps.
After a year in the wild they become carnivorous and only eat trout bigger than themselves
by slashing and gnashing them with their canine-like razor sharp teeth.
50 lb. steel leaders are a required to land them on a regular basis.
Even then you will still loose many of them because they will break you off with their large strong muscular tails.

here's mine. I got this one at the Vine on a chartruse/bubblegum Garlic Power Glitter rat soaked in LunkerLunch Joy Juice. My buddy and me had been chumming up the area pretty good with CheezWhiz and WD40. Almost knocked over my pyramid of beer cans reelin' her in.:Wink:

If it's not a secret, where do you go to catch these beauties? I love the enviornment. Great looking trouts, one of the best IMO

He caught those up at South Lake and other areas near Bishop, he worked at Parchers all summer....Nice fish!
