Just returned from the annual Oktoberfish in Bishop Creek. 10 buddies in Aspendell, 4 nights, 5 days, fishing, poker, cribbage, pool, fishing, fishing. What a great time! Plenty of fish were caught everywhere we went.

Not much of a fishing report except to say that North Lake was wide open for the evening bite on Friday and Saturday night - Chuncky Cheese and Orange PB were working best along with matukas on a fly and bubble rig.

One last note. I stopped into Parchers on Thursday morning to meet Smitty, and wanted to say what a nice guy he is. I am diabetic and needed an energy bar for a mid morning pick me up - since the Parchers shelves are a little low, he reached into a bag behind the counter and tossed me a Cliff bar, which he told me was on him! You just dont meet people like him anymore!

Jared (Smitty) is a great guy and Parcher's is a great resort!

Make sure you introduce yourself to everyone in the "Welcome" section!

One_Leg - noticed in your post you were at Jacks on Wednesday morning. Was wondering if you were in the booth of 4 in front of our group of 6 around 10:00?

Forgot to mention that one of our group caught a tagged fish out of North Lake from the promotion from the Indian Casino. He got $$$ and the rest of the boyz got $ in free play in the casino.

Nope, I was prolly rigging up to troll about that time.

Jack's and Culver's are two of the mandatory stops when I go up there.

If you ever see a guy with red crutches and one leg, please introduce yourself.
