My buddy Mangus, and my son decided to go out on the opener to get a taste of lobster back in our mouths. We got down to the water at 4:30 pm and went out looking for a good place to set up. The breakwall was crawling with divers so we decided to work a deeper set in 50' of water. After the first four pulls we we zero on the bugs but managed 8 big spider crabs, 2 nice rock crabs but no lobster. Talked with a few guys working the wall but most seemed to be having the same problem "No Lobsters" . We move some nets aroud for the final set and began pulling at midnight. On the first net there was something big in the net, but didn't realize it was a lobster until we got it out of the water. What a beast, 30" long, 8 5/8" carapice, 15.4 lbs.

I guess with a bug that size, all you need is one to limit out :)

Nice catch!
