its really called the evening secret, the name changes depending on what u search into google. its pretty much just a light that attracts plankton which in turn attracts bait fish which in turn attracts big fish. its just an over priced crappie light. it works but you can by cheaper versions

It aint no secret. Its a 12V light stick.

I have a similar one called the Hydroglow (hydroglow.com) and yes it is also about $200. The light already paid for itself after a few trips as we were able to load up on squid. Dont get those cheapo BPS models for $20 or so. I had some and they all died after a few trips or so. Worked ok when it worked but not that bright.

The one I have is the 4ft long green one. We use this to fish squid and its a squid magnet. I also have a 400wt metal halide light but in my opinion the Hydroglow brings up the squid better and it doesnt attract as much seals.

Im not affiliated to this company just a happy customer.

See for yourself. This was off of LaJolla this past spring. I had so much bait, I baited all the kayakers who needed bait.
