Hey Everyone,
Evan and myself headed out to a "secret" spot in search of the elusive, almost impossible to catch...PERCH! Haha. Stopped at the market to pick up some of the secret super totally ausome peas.
After hiking down a treacherous hill wearing sandals...thanks for telling me about the rocks Evan, we reach our perch hole. The first five minutes we kept getting hit, but no hooksets. Evan took off with his perch rig while I fished a Big Hammer swimbait.
Lo and Behold I catch a small Calico.By that time Evan re-rigged his rod and threw in his Big Hammer as well. After 2 casts he lands what I thought was a small halibut but it turned out to be a monster kelp fish! Cool.
After getting our hopes up we hike about a mile north of the undisclosed locale, and fish the sandy beach for nothing.
I am tired and board of beating the living poop out of Evan in COD4, so thats why I writing to you all right now. Evan and myself will be fishing from a kayak tomorrow if anyone wants to join, shoot me a PM.
