ok all you fly fishers! lets see some ofthe flys you have tied! flys, you fly tieing stations everything! stuff you used and what not! also how many of you fly fishers and tiers would like to have a carring case that easily portable, fits all you tieing stuff like the stand, spools of thread, feathers....the works! i work and this company that vacume forms plastic cases.. i feel i can make a case just for this...it would be all foam inserts that hold everthing in place so nothing gets damaged. also i was thinkin of a a hinged area that allows a small platform to "pop" out so you can clamp your stand on to it and have all your goodies at your finger tips in a neat lil area... well le me know you ideas WHILE YOU POST PIX OF ALL THE AWESOME FLYS YOU TIED AND YOUR SETUPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol not enough fly fishers i guess lol....

well just a lil update on the case im making for the portable fly tieing station... the top and bottom of the cases are made (made out of polyurethane i think) there all black with a air and water tight alum. valance thats powdercoated black as well... i just got all the cut outs made and it will hold 12 thread spools so you can have a bunch of different colors, has a locking compartment for the tools needed, a spot to hold the case of colored fibers (for the body of the fly) there called dubb something (clue me in on it again casey lol) also it has a built in fold out table to clamp your vise on... the table is 6" wide and will pop out about 4 to 5" out side the case leaving plenty of room to reach all you thread and dubb stuff easily..
and the vice will fit nicley under the "vice table" velcoed to the case...

also in the top part of the case (the lid) there will be a spot to strap in all you feathers, deer hair and whatever else you might have.. and it will be secured by a veclro strap...

case is 17x10" ill have a picture of it when im done later on today(hopefully)

o ya i forgot to add all the spools dubb stuff and tool box will be snuggly fit with durable foam so this case would be able to be dropped off the roof of your car...cough cough (TJ) and everything will still be in place haha had to say it casey...

The cost isn't too bad. You will save money in the long run. Plus its so much more rewarding to catch fish on your own stuff.

All of the flies I have tied so far minus the ones that I caught some trees or rocks with. Or the ones that just didnt make it up to my feeble expectations. One is a Caddis, The other is a Peeping caddis that seems to be pretty deadly on planters. Looking forward to getting out Saturday morning and educating more of my flies :)

Here is a few more pics. Some more pics of the peeping caddis and the elk hair caddis with a green body. Also there is a pic of some of the animal hair and feathers in a cooler. It gets to be an obsession after a while. Also if you are buying dubbing in the package, have you and a buddy get different packages then split it. You will probably never need all of the dubbing in the package anyways unless you are tying for profit. Books are great to have also for instruction on how to tie and other patterns. OHH last pic is a vise that you do not want to get. It say's its rotary but it's not a true rotary. Heck someone screwed up when they threaded it together. Keep meaning to take it back but would probably be easier and quicker for me to make the part that I need and fix it myself.
