I am in the market for a 4 stroke for my 18.5 ft center console Gregor Alumininum. I currently have a 40 hp merc 2 stroke. The boat max HP rating is 60 hp. But it also states max 8 people, I only have 2-3 ppl max on it. I only need for low cruising speeds - max 20 mph and trolling at very low speeds. Do you think I can get away with a 25-30 hp motor or should I stick with a > 40 hp. Lower the HP means lower price. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks
