First La Paz Trip 9/15-9/20

Went to La Paz for the first time with my GF and a couple buddies and it was THE $#!T. Long story short, arrived monday at 3pm, got drunk, ate some bomb *** food. The daily routine from tues. to fri., was wake up at 6am to fish til 3pm, snorkel while our captains clean our fish on a secluded beach, come back to hotel jump in the pool and get drunk and eat some bomb mexican food....Dang, I could do that everyday and not get tired of it. I strongly recommend booking with Baja Pirates of La Paz. Our captain was so cool. He took us out a couple of nights to see the town. Buffalo Barbecue Restaurant has the best ribs you'll ever eat!!! Anyways, here are the pics....

Yeah we did. I had a huge 8' plano rod case and fit about 10 rods in there. Suprisingly, Alaska Airlines didn't charge me an oversized check-in fee. As far as reels, I put them in my gf's check in luggage. I don't think you're allowed to have reels with line on em.

Hey Wildhorse,

We were using 4 to 5 inch sardines and mainly using 2/0 or 3/0 hooks. Fish there aren't line shy, I was fishing 50 lb. braid with a 30 lb floro leader. One time the floro leader was very frayed so I tied a hook on straight braid and the dodos still bit! If you like largemouth fishing, bring your gear. I was having fun catching skipjacks, pargo and roosters on spinnerbaits, krocodiles, crankbaits, and swimbaits. Plus, 1 dorado on a Rapala Skitter Walk!!! I also caught a couple cabrillas and sheephead with a Shimano butterfly jig.
