Does anyone know if any body sells 4 stroke outboard motors close to the Hemet area?

I just bought my MERC 4S in MAY08- upgraded my motor from a 2S, closets place with the best prices was PRO BOATS in SAN DIMAS off the 57 and I-10. Ask for STEVE. They had the best prices, believe me I called all over San Diego and Orange County dealers and he had the best package for what I wanted. Not sure if the 5-YEAR WARRANTY is still going on the MERCS.

Not sure what size or make of OB you are in the market for, so the deal that I got may not apply to you. Got to call and look up the dealers on the web... Good luck

How much power should I go with, for a 12 foot boat?

The warranty is up on the mercs, plus that was for a 25hp and higher. I would not go any higher than a 9.9 4s You don't need much power to push that lil boat.

Save some bucks on that 4S motor you want get for your 12ftr, I've seen some good OB 4S deals on Craigs list for people that are motoring up or are in need of cash... Good luck

Thinking about just using a trolling motor, and save money and wait till the next good deal for a bass boat comes along.

you can find many 10hp Hondas from the 80's for less than $500....I have a 2003 Mercury 9.9hp the motor costs about $2300(back then)....If you want a brand new motor you can get a new Merc for like $1700 at BPS and make payments too....

I could make payments, but I really want to wait for a bass boat deal to come along.
