Ultra-Light Fun

Hit the local (private) pond for a few hours this morining with the ultra-light. Caught and released several in the 6-8# range (small for this pond). Average 12-15#.

Great fun on the 2# gear, flylining corn. Average battle 10-15 minutes. The big ones might take 30-40 minutes.

What local "private pond"is this? I'm in Riverside too and by the California Carp Fishing Regulation No. 328CCFR, you have to take me fishing with you. The penalties for not doing so are extreme.. No seriously, carp are a blast on the light stuff! Nice fish man!

Private ponds are awsome. i once caught 8 or 9 10+lber catfish on 4lb line in missouri. i wouldn't mind going to that spot with you some time
