Twin Lakes Bridgeport Question

I was up there this past Saturday by the no fishing area between the two lakes and saw hundreds of 8"-12" trout with pure red bodies. What kind of trout/salmon were these? Will post pictures soon. Thanks guys.

I know that there are Kokanee salmon in those lakes and they are spawning right now, maybe it was them.

Kokes & in a few weeks the brownies will start to spawn. If You're fishing from shore? throw red bouyonts & if boat? troll using baby-bow trophy sticks on lead core around perimeter of lake.

I was up there past weekend, too. Stayed at Mono Village and took this pic of spawning kokes 20 steps from our campsite.
