Dang you guys are all over!
Let me know when you're ready to toss some LC's in the surf for some halibut! I'll meet ya down there.

We were using live bait. We got the bigger of the two skiffs with the bait well inside the boat, makes it much easier and we paid 80 for half day which is 5 hrs. You also gotta pay for live bait now which is another 20, so 100 bucs, but worth it for a day of fun.

Looks like fun...just wondering, where do you take a leak when in the harbor on the skiff? Thanks for the report.

If you ask the people at the skiff rental, they can probably name you all the public dock/restroom areas. I like to tie up by the Coast Guard station, they even have an indoor shower with hot running water there if you need it...like say...after a long day of wresting mud marlins.

DccFISHerMan,
thanks for the report! I haven't rented a skiff in a long time, but the last time i did, the bait barge was still located at the mouth of the harbor, and a half scoop was only $10

Nice report with the Spottie, WSB, and the Cuda on the light tackle.

Unfortunately looks like I may not get the opportunity to post a report this week from that location due to work.

We"ll see how it shakes out.

Thanks,

Steve

I was fishing this day with DccFisherman. I normally do well in the harb, but unfortunately kept gettin caught up on anchors ropes. Damn fish loved to swim around it. We normally kill it by the bait barge, but the pelicans and sea lions would not leave our live bait alone, so had to ditch that spot. Overall still a good day though.
