Well I traded a dude a hog trip for a tuna trip, So My buddy & I headed down To SD on friday. Met up with dude got in the water & headed out about 4:00 pm. Looking for the porps, birds, pattys etc. Well the guy was a real winner :Shocked: to say the least, but oh well We were there...so...anyways
I'm spotting birds dive bombing & I'm telling dude lets hit some of that? but no He wanted to follow every stinkin boat on the ocean! Which in fact was doing the same as us.
So I spot a a patty finally We stop soaked a dine & drifted off & dude does'nt want to reset???? So I'm like whatever. Then We end up spending the night out drifting around NICE. Wake up just at light dude wants to troll only. nothing then nothing then nothing. Then says I'm taking a nap take the boat.
I tell My buddy I'm getting pissed & I'm ready to call it, Well We spot this nice patty pull up to it! Dude gets up whats going on? Were like nice patty lets try it? Well throw some chum soak baits drift off, dudes like lets go. I tell dude theres a boil on the patty & fish are jumping. He's depressed sounding oh well we'll go back to it. So we do & I can see dodo's in the water, well hmmm guess what? bendo fish on! Hooked up a dorado which was My target fish. then a couple more. Then dude chucks jig lands right in the patty & then snaps off line. Then proceeds to get out flippers & boogie board! We're all?? whats up? He's like going after My jig! By this time were 60 yds off the patty. Ask dude when You get eaten can We have Youre boat? Then off He went.
Then My buddy takes major hit & fish on & it's nice, then I can hear dude yelling hang on I'm coming don't lose the fish bla, bla, bla. I'm thinking come on Mako easy prey, but no such luck. Finally gets back to boat & proceeds to tell My buddy how to pump reel etc don't lose it! I was ready to smack the dude!!!! Get the fish up and it's nice Yellow fin. Then says man that pattys loaded dodo's & YFT's, but He wants to move says lets find some tuna. I'm like dude were on tuna. He's like couple more drifts then Were heading over by the boats. I'm like whatever genius.
So trip sucked, dudes a kook, has his whiney untamed dog tied up on deck & jumps in the ocean to retrieve a $5.00 jig and We felt like total deck hands the whole time. Worst part about it is I still have to take this fool hunting:EyePop: So final tally was 1 albie 1 YFT & five dorados, but would've been more, then dude takes the albie & says He has to give to his baby sitter!
Dudes about 55 years old too...so...be careful who You hook up with on the net!!!!!!!
