Took my buddy jeff (aka Mr. Musky) out out Sat. on his virgin Pacific Ocean tour. We met at my Bro-in-Law Paul's house at 4:30am Sat to hit up HH for a trip out to the 14 or 209. The weather gods had other plans as it was windy an choppy.

The morning was rather beautiful though...

Since it was Jeff's first time, we stuck around for some inshore action. Turns out, this was for the best as my motor gave me more issues after just getting it back from the shop !!!!!!GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

We fished Esther for nada, then hit the wall since my engine was bogging again (turned out to b another 2 injectors ruined by water!) DOUBLE GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!
The wall got us onto one badazz mack attack which Jeff thought was just like fishin perch from the dock back in Minn! LOL!

Jeff with the first cali of the day....This one was a "2-Hander!" LOL!

I caught another,

and the rest were mackz caught on lite line for as much fun as we could muster from a broke-*** motor.

We'll see how she does this Sat tho. I wanna hit up Catalina 4 some YT!

Tight lines, and best of luck in Minn. Jeff. I suspect that UR to Muskies what Bin Laden is to the U.S. LOL!

Tight Lines!

Sorry to hear about the motor problems.
They had it running good at the shop under a load?
If so, you may have water in your fuel tank.
Have you checked the tank and is it a built tank or portable?
Built in tanks can get water in them from the vent if it is improperly mounted.

Just a warning: I've heard that it can be damaging to run a fourstroke outboard with clogged injectors because those cylinders will be running lean and you'll burn valves and possibly damage the piston from running lean.

Hope you get it figured out.

Bummer about the water in the injectors.
Didnt you leave the gas cap off last season?
You were asking for some tips of what to do if saltwater got in the tank?
I believe my advice was ignored.
