Jumped aboard the Liberty with Rez and a few other buddies. Hung out with Ghetto_Manager at the landing and he put me to work. Made me answer the phones, same drunk guy kept calling over and over.

Anyways we headed over to Tanner Banks to meetup with the rest of the sporties. Slow day few bites. Conditions were horrible. Half the boat chummed, including me pukalito.

Long story short, got my first ever Bluefin on 20#. Wasnt getting any love on 25-30. Long soaks was the ticket. Had a blast on the Liberty. Top notch capt and crew.

Note to everyone, when you catch a cuda always cut your line and retie or else you'll learn the hard way. Just ask Rez, he had a monster yellow that busted off.

My blue and dinner.

Congrat's on your first tuna. That's a beauty for sure. Just FYI, any tuna, albacore, yellowtail, after you land it you should ALWAY's retie. Or the other option is if your a tackle ho like me have multiple rigs ready so when I've caught one and cut off the line, I'll put it back in the rod rack and grab the next one. When the boat's on the move I'll retie my gear then.

nice tuna juan. what i think is funny is that you let short calicos break your back, but you can reel in the giant fish. you sure you didn't injure yourself in bed the night before?
