im going surfing near the pier ill also be surf fishing and pierfishing! im wondering how the fishing is doing and if there is bait shop on the pier

Get yourself an empty soda can, some fishing line, a few spark plugs and mussel off the pilings and you should be all set. :LOL: Just messing with ya.
I haven't fished off the pier in years, but I do know every year, large halibut are caught off the pier on brown bait (queen fish) and smelt. You should be able to find a million sand crabs underneath the pier. Using a light C-Rig and sand crabs, you should have no problem catching perch, croakers and possibly some corbina. There are a LOT of SNGF in that area as well as some large leopards. If you want to have a battle, strips of squid or mini-mackerel should do the trick.
