Broken hook and another straightened out?!?
Are these the upgraded "Stinger" or the standard LC hooks?
Damn, I hate it when that happens!
Well done gentlemen, hopefully, I can make it out there tomorrow.

Nice job guys.

Sorry about farming the big one on straighten and broken hooks.

btw, love the article you compiled on Targetting Halibut from Shore.

I've learned a lot from that.

thanks again for sharing that info.

It always seems that the big ones get away--and that's why they are big!:Smash:

Do you think the hook was in the hard part of the fish's mouth and that's why it straightened out?

I look forward to hearing your report from Mission Bay good luck on the corbina and corvina:LOL:

better luck next time, sinjin. My first 30+ straigtened out two of the stock hooks on my flashminnow...i didn't believe it when people first told me that it was possible, until i experienced it for myself. consider that a 30+ is around 14 to 15 pounds, you add that to the additional pressure exerted on the hook when the fish runs and the outgoing current...

My saltigas just came in. the hooks on these seem a lot more promising! Can't wait to get out there and give them a test run...

thanks for the report and pics.
