Just got a Yak!

Sup guys... After having the boat sit there forever... I don't wake up early enough to go fishing and no one usually wants to go with me anyways... I decided to get a Yak... Should be easier to get into the water... Anyways, it's a grey Malibu Pro Explorer that I picked up from OEX in Sunset.

Still have to figure it out and get use to it before actually trying to fish on it. I was wobbling alot when I tested it out. :) Don't want to fall out on my first cast... lol.

Glad you picked up a yak...your going to love it.

I would advise you to go to a local lake and practice getting in and out
of your kayak. Stay in shallow and simulate tipping your kayak (literally
tip it over) then practice getting it upright and get back on.

This could end up saving your life one day: A friend was yaking at Dana
Point when he saw a fellow yaker hanging on to his kayak. He went over
to investigate and sure enough he had to help the guy get back on his
yak. The guy said he was in the cold water for an hour cuz he couldn't
get back on his yak. That dude was lucky.

Good looking out bro... I never thought about falling off. I'll definately look into how to get back onto the kayak. The nearest place I can practice is at the Pudd... I wonder if the lifeguards will throw a fit if I'm in the water lol.
