Having "SUM FUN" in NPH Tuesday

Returned again to the Harbor for some finesse fishing and determined to put last weeks performance in the surf behind me.

Made plans with Eddie (HESBROS) to get out together in my ride. Eddie is going nuts with his ride in the shop and the Yellowfin Tuna action going on down south.

Boat in the water by 0700 and off to the first spot for a few spotties to get it started. Made the move to pick up a Shovelnose.

Another move produced a YFC, Round Ray and then Eddie got on board with a 12" WSB!!!
We then pulled a drift across the upper turning basin for nothing.

Move again for 2 short flatties and YFC. Next spot was the dock at Opal street for a quick stretch while Eddie went to J/D's Bait shop to get the Mexico License, and make some Live Smelt bait for my next Plan. Was able to get about 30 of the 2 1/2" variety and a couple at 3 to 4"

Made a short move to a spot and buttoned on the live for a drift. Picked up 2 quick spotties on live. Reset for a dink Flattie, Spottie, and Sandie.

We then found a nice Flattie hole that produced again more shorts and 1 exactly 22" and another Juvie WSB for Eddie.

The spot cooled down with the current change to incoming. The light was beginning to go away so we headed toward the ramp with Eddie picking up another Spottie on the way in.

Thanks to the young man at Davies locker who gave us some live chocies as he was cleaning out the skiffs!!!!! Eddie managed to get a few takers while they remained alive as I did not have the live well with me today.

Thanks again Steve for a great trip, of course that is the usual. Like my wife said when we got, I am happy just to be on the water. And what makes it better is good company and a few fish even. I am telling you though, I am hooked on this harbor stuff.....so if anyone see's a 25ft proline trying to drift around NPH and hit all the little tight spots that Steve takes me to, you will know why!
