Nobody could join me but I wanted a YFT, and I ended up on the Producer out of H& M landing in S.D. Met up there with Lizzay & his two buds Ryan & Tai. We left the dock at 10 to load up on Dines n Chovies.
We awoke to teh sound of HOOKUP!!!!! Early in the am. Skies were cloudy but temp was great. Wind was not a factor this day. We nailed a dozen albies on this spot, but nada 4 me.
I crashed again while we trolled forever. 10 am, I drag myself outta bed to a still overcast sky. Temnps were great though., The sea was calm but had big rollers well spread out. PERFECT slayage weather!~

The next stop was on kelp pattie loaded with dodos of the “unwilling-to-play” variety.
Then, THEN, we found the motherload sometime in the early afternoon. We saw another kelp pattie with lotsa dodos as well. This variety played, but we were soon to find out that there were tons of large 25lb. Class YFT holding just underneath them!! Soon after everyone is going bend-O and chaos ensues. OVER, UNDER! HOT RAIL! Everyone was doing the tuna shuffle, but working pretty well together. I hooked a fatty and lost it on 20. DAMN! This is what I came for!
Then, I am soaking a sardine and I get slammed like a freight train! I fought her on 25lb test for about twenty minutes. She dang near spooled me!!! These things are mega strong! My back was worked!LOL In a good way.

Fish continued to boil around the boat continuously for hours.
This would be the last fish for me, but not for the boat. We drifted far away from the pattie while holding the YFT with chum.

An hour and a half into the fray, we seemed to only see Skipjack boiling.
We then made 1 more shot at the kelp

Landed another 6 fish b4 running outta bait and heading home. We had a massive attack of 4-5 fish just seconds apart. It was cool!
Triple hookup at the last stop...
