371 bank - tuna

Took my little boat and girlfriend out of San Diego yesterday and we headed south to the 371 bank. Trolled around and did some searching for a few hours and it was looking pretty dead until we found a pod of porpoise, then it was game on! All we would have to do is stop in the middle of the pod, throw a bait out and it was instant hookup with 25-30lb yellowfin. I caught 5 and lost one before my back and arms just could not handle any more punishment. My GF tried but could not bring one in, she said they were too strong for her. We were done by noon and left them biting. Saw a huge blue whale on the way in - very cool. Also saw more tuna breaking at just 18 miles - they are close guys now is the time!
