View Full Version : Dredging Newport Harbor?

Does anyone know anything about dredging going on in the back bay of NPH? I heard that they are deepening the channel north of the PCH bridge and that as a result, the bay has really murky water, especially on the outgoing tides. Anyone notice dirty water around the Coast Guard dock or Balboa Island?

fishmounter, Yes they are dredging in back bay.. Have been in different areas for several week....

Is it hurting the fishing? Especially the SBB and the 'Butts? We were thinking of going out Wed on a rental skiff...

Was there 7pm saturday 27th till 2am 35 spotties and sandbass, 2 bat rays, and 1 small shark. Was a good night.
